6 Days of Safari & Culture: Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro & Hadzabe Tribe

Your adventure begins as you arrive in Arusha, where you will meet your guide and embark on a scenic drive to Tarangire National Park. Known for its vast savannahs and large herds of elephants, Tarangire offers an incredible start to your safari. Enjoy an afternoon game drive, where you’ll have the chance to spot elephants, giraffes, zebras, and an array of birdlife. Afterward, relax at your lodge, where you can unwind in the heart of nature.

After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive in Tarangire, spotting more wildlife before heading out to the iconic Serengeti National Park. This famous park is known for its endless plains and abundant wildlife, including the Big Five (lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo, and rhinos). Arrive in Serengeti, settle into your camp or lodge, and enjoy an evening game drive where the golden light of dusk creates unforgettable moments.

Today is dedicated to a full day of safari adventure in the Serengeti. Known for its massive herds of wildebeest and zebras during the Great Migration, you’ll also have the chance to observe predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards in their natural habitat. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park, and continue your exploration with your guide, ensuring you don’t miss any of the park’s natural wonders. In the evening, return to your lodge for a relaxing dinner under the stars.

This morning, embark on a final game drive through the Serengeti before heading to Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The crater is often referred to as the “Garden of Eden” due to its rich biodiversity, offering a chance to see lions, elephants, flamingos, and rare species like the black rhino. Descend into the crater for an unforgettable day of wildlife encounters, followed by an evening spent in a lodge with stunning views of the surrounding highlands.

This day takes you off the beaten path, as you visit the Hadzabe Tribe, one of the last remaining hunter-gatherer tribes in Africa. With the guidance of the tribe, you’ll learn about their ancient survival techniques, including how they track animals, hunt with bows and arrows, and use local plants for medicinal purposes. After this fascinating cultural encounter, enjoy a leisurely afternoon exploring the area before returning to your lodge.

On the final day of your adventure, enjoy a scenic drive back to Arusha, where you’ll have some time to explore the local markets or relax before your departure. Reflect on the unforgettable memories created throughout your journey as you depart with a deeper understanding of Tanzania’s wildlife and culture.
